On September 21, 2015, South Florida Banking Institute held a CFO Panel at the Coral Gables Country Club. SFBI welcomed the night with registration and social cocktail hour, in which allowed professionals to network before the CFO panel.
Prior to dinner, President of SFBI Daniel R. Martinez commenced the panel. Moderator Frank Gonzalez, then introduced the guest speakers, Mary Benevente, Will Bermudez, Sydney Garmong, and Alex Safie. These expert accounting professionals discussed the past and modern issues and affairs revolving the banking community. A couple of these topics were various new accounting literature, cyber security, and impact from a regulatory standpoint. Registrants were involved in the Q&A session. Many questions were answered regarding important actions to take to ensure the future and protection of community banking. Make sure to stay tuned for future events!
