Mr. Harris has more than 13 years of experience with Crowe, within the firm’s Financial Institutions group, where he provides services to clients in the banking industry.

Mr. Harris has experience with preparation of securities and exchange commission filings, consulting on implementation of Section 404 of the Sarbanes Oxley Act, fraud investigation services, internal audit and audit plan development and risk assessment, training programs, etc.

Speaker: Jose Marina

CFO, TotalBank

Jose Marina has served as TotalBank’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since 2009. Mr. Marina leads the Bank’s Accounting and Treasury Management functions where he is responsible for liquidity management, interest rate risk, expense control, financial reporting, ensuring conformance with U.S. GAAP, and serves as a liaison between the Bank and its auditors and regulators. Mr. Marina also serves on the Bank’s Board of Directors, Executive Committee and as Chairman of the Asset Liability Committee of the Board.

Mr. Marina served as TotalBank’s Senior Vice President and Controller from 2003 to 2009, heading the Bank’s accounting and finance functions. Prior to joining the Bank, Mr. Marina worked in public accounting as an Audit Manager in a Coral Gables based CPA firm where he led and managed independent financial statement audits in various industries as well as outsourced internal audits for the firm’s South Florida banking clients.
Mr. Marina is a CPA and obtained both Undergraduate and Master’s Degrees in Accounting from Florida International University. He serves on the Accounting Council of the Financial Managers Society.

Frank Gonzalez, CPA*/CFF, is Managing Principal of MBAF’s Miami office and is the principal-in-charge of the Audit Department at MBAF, where he leads the Financial Institutions and SEC practices. As principal-in-charge of the Audit Department, Frank has full oversight of the firm’s audit practice in all offices, including the execution of processes and quality control, maintaining the department’s standards and ensuring the use of best practices among his team.

Frank provides audit, business consulting, litigation support and SEC compliance services to South Florida organizations in a wide range of industries, including real estate, financial institutions (community banking, international banking, investment funds, broker dealers) manufacturing, technology and telecommunications.
