Guillermo Benites is the Vice President of Financial Services at UDT. Guillermo is responsible for the creation and innovation of business solutions for the financial services sector as well as for leading business development for this important vertical. He leverages more than 25 years of experience in several areas, including banking, regulatory compliance, computer forensic services, IT security and risk management.

Prior to joining UDT, Guillermo enjoyed a distinguished career that included posts such as CEO of Axxis Solutions and COO of Enterprise Risk Management in addition to having served in various executive leadership positions at Caja Mediterráneo, Banco de Crédito del Perú, and Atlantic Security Bank of Miami.

Guillermo obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Florida International University and holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Finance from Nova Southeastern University. He is also a board member of the South Florida Banking Institute (SFBI), the Financial & International Business Association (FIBA), the Center for Financial Training and Global Mentor of Apprentice Worldwide. Jeff brings more than 30 years of hands-on cybersecurity intelligence and cybersecurity operations experience including engagements with the Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Energy (DOE), and NASA.

More recently Jeff has served as CISO at Blue Team Alpha, where he educated customers on the current threat landscape and served as an advocate for the need of a strong cybersecurity practice.

Jeff serves as Lumu’s Field CTO where he helps the company raise awareness about the Continuous Compromise Assessment concept and advises organizations of all sizes on how to optimize their cybersecurity operations in today’s challenging cyberthreat landscape.

Jeremy Hopwood has held the role of CISO at Pinnacle Financial Partners (PNFP) since 2017. Throughout his career, he has been a technology pioneer and founded numerous organizations. He has been responsible for projects for companies including: Nortel Networks, McDonalds, HP, Coke, BellSouth, Morgan Stanley, Capital One, Paine Webber, Deutch Bank, SunTrust, Freddie Mac, Chase, and Lehman Brothers.

Hopwood has held CIO, COO, CEO and Chairman positions and has become a trusted and sought-after security industry expert, winning numerous awards, including several in the engineering field.

Ryan  McDaniel

Ryan McDaniel is UDT’s Vice President of Business Development for cybersecurity and is subject matter expert with more than 15 years of experience in strategic and applied security focusing on developing innovation within security, IT infrastructure, interoperability, AI and Machine Learning, and large-scale practicable analytics.
Most recently, Ryan built and managed the security practice and led the interoperability group for a large healthcare consultancy. As an SME, Ryan has worked with C-level healthcare leaders to assist them in developing strategic roadmaps which enable greater compliance, operational capability, efficiency, reduced risk that align with organizational needs and constrains. In addition, Ryan built extensive partnerships with solution providers, both large and small, which offered innovative solutions with proven value in established markets to further enable clinicians, patients, and leadership.

Previously, Ryan served as a consulting director of international consulting for a large WAN optimization and application and network performance industry leader. Prior to that, Ryan founded and led a healthcare consulting group focused on assisting healthcare organizations in navigating the transition from paper to digital medical records.
Ryan has a BS in neuroscience from Vanderbilt University and an MA in molecular biology with a focus on applied mathematics from Princeton University.

Santiago Martinez is currently the Vice President – Information Security Officer at Helm Bank USA.  In that role, Santiago works everyday to ensure that the privacy and security of corporate and consumer data is protected, while at the same time promoting methodologies that improve the efficiency and delivery of services to the bank’s clients.

Santiago originally trained in Information Technology, holding a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from American Intercontinental University and a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from Nova Southeastern University.  Santiago also holds numerous industry certifications in both Information Technology and Information Security.
