Guillermo Benites, Vice President of Financial Services, United Data Technologies, Inc.(UDT)

Guillermo A. Benites is Vice President of Financial Services for United Data Technologies, Inc. (UDT), a leading technology enabler that helps clients in major industries evaluate, architect, secure, and manage technology on the go, in the rack and in the cloud. Guillermo is responsible for the creation and innovation of business solutions for the financial services sector as well as for leading business development for this important vertical. He leverages more than 25 years of experience in several areas, including banking, regulatory compliance, computer forensic services, IT security and risk management.

Prior to joining UDT, Guillermo enjoyed a distinguished career that included posts such as CEO of Axxis Solutions and COO of Enterprise Risk Management in addition to having served in various executive leadership positions at CajaMediterráneo, Banco de Crédito del Perú, and Atlantic Security Bank of Miami.

Guillermo obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Florida International University and holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Finance from Nova Southeastern University. He is also a board member of the South Florida Banking Institute (SFBI), the Florida International Bankers Association (FIBA), and the Center for Financial Training, Southeastern Chapter. Currently, Guillermo is serving as the President of SFBI for the 2018-2019 fiscal year. He is also active in The Beacon Council and the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce.

Charles Grau, Chief Information Officer, United Data Technologies, Inc.(UDT)

Charles Grau is Chief Information Officer (CIO) of IT at United Data Technologies Inc. (UDT), a technology enabler that helps clients in major industries evaluate, architect, secure and manage technology on premise, in mobile and in the cloud. Prior to joining UDT, he served as VP IT at AeroTurbine for five years.

With more than 15 years of executive experience, Charles leads UDT’s IT strategy and technological innovation initiatives. His client-side experience is critical in ensuring that the company maintains client needs at the core of all products, services, and development initiatives.

Charles holds bachelor and master degrees in information technology from American Intercontinental University, as well as an MBA from the Keller Graduate School of Management. He has served as president and member of the board of trustees at CIO Council of South Florida for the past five years and is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

Mauricio Angee, Chief Information Security Officer, Mount Sinai Medical Center

Mauricio Angée is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) with over 30 years of experience in healthcare, banking and financial services, hospitality, entertainment, and the government sector, with a strong background in cybersecurity, information assurance,privacy, regulatory compliance, and risk management.

Mauricio currently serves as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami, Fl., During his professional career Mauricio served as Vice President of Information Security at Mercantil Bank, as Sr. Manager of Security and Compliance at Universal Orlando Parks and Resorts, as Information Systems Security Officer at Harris Corporation supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the US Census Bureau, and he also worked at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) at the Kennedy Space Center, FL., where he supported the Kennedy Integrated Communications Services (KICS)contract.

Mauricio currently serves as president of Infragard (FBI public-private information sharing group),and also a member of the board of directors for the South Florida CISO Council.

Mauricio is currently pursuing his Doctorate degree in Business with concentration in Information Security at St. Thomas University He is currently an adjunct faculty at Florida International University and St. Thomas University.

Jason Manar, Supervisory Special Agent, Miami Division-Cyber Crime

Jason is a graduate of Murray State University. Prior to joining the FBI, he served six years with the Kentucky State Police as a Trooper and Detective.

He is currently the Miami Cyber Crime Supervisory Special Agent and manages all FBI criminal cyber operations within the Southern District of Florida. Prior to his current role, he served at FBI Headquarters in the Major Cyber Crimes Unit combating cyber criminal threats targeting U.S. entities. He has additionally, served as the Safe Streets Gang & Violent Crime Task Force Coordinator for the FBI’s Springfield Division and worked high level public corruption and health care fraud cases in the Detroit Division. All these experiences have yielded him an invaluable holistic perspective as it relates to today’s cyber landscape.

Leonard Simon, Security Architect, Compuquip Cybersecurity

Mr. Leonard Simon is the Security Architect for Compuquip Cybersecurity.  Mr. Simon started in the Information Security field in 2000 and has held positions such as Senior Security Engineer, Cyber Governance, Risk, and Compliance Analyst, Cybersecurity Professor at various Universities across the country, Cybersecurity Curriculum Engineer, Cybersecurity Mentor, Information Security Council Member & Computer Security Incident Response Team Member, Support Manager. His certifications include CISSP, GICSP, and CCNA. Mr. Simon has a B.S. in I.T from FIU, a Master’s of Science in Management Information Systems and Security from Nova Southeastern University, and currently enrolled at Capella University in the doctoral program for Information Assurance and Cybersecurity.   Outside of work Mr. Simon enjoys cycling, swimming and photography.
