Marshall has over twenty-nine (29) years of substantial real estate, bank regulatory compliance/risk management, finance, accounting, and legal experience. In partnership with Amerant Bank, Marshall and a team of seasoned mortgage banking executives formed Amerant Mortgage, LLC, in order to provide the market place a differentiated mortgage experience. Marshall spent nearly 12 years at City National Bank of Florida. At City National, Marshall was in charge of the legal affairs of the bank and until February 2017 he also had responsibility for all non-credit risk, including BSA/AML/OFAC, privacy, information/cyber security, fraud, CRA, regulatory compliance, etc. In addition, his responsibilities included corporate governance, leadership, strategy development, and management of regulatory relations. Prior to joining City National Bank, Marshall served in Wachovia’s Legal Division and went on to lead over 100 FTE managing Wachovia Bank’s CIP & High Risk Customers for the General Bank, consultant in KPMG’s Chicago office on bank/thrift regulatory matters (including M&A filings), served as general counsel/compliance officer of a multi-state/country MSB, and was an assistant bank examiner with the FDIC.

Marshall holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Illinois, a CPA certificate, and dual undergraduate degrees in finance and international business from Florida International University (“FIU”). Marshall is adjunct professor at the FIU Law School teaching banking and finance law/regulation. He has served on the advisory board for the Florida International Bankers Association’s AML Compliance conference, the task force for the ACAMS AML & Financial Crime Conference, and was Co-Chair of ACAMS South Florida Chapter. Marshall served on the Florida Banker’s Government Relations Committee for several years, and currently serves on FIU President’s Counsel, South Florida Banking Institute’s Board of Directors (2020 President Elect), the United Way’s Legal Cabinet, and is a frequent speaker both domestically and internationally.

Keith Costello, CEO.
Locality Bank

Keith Costello is the President, CEO and co-founder of Locality Bank, a new digital first denovo bank which opened on January 12, 2022. It is the first new bank opened in South Florida since 2009. Prior he served as the President & CEO of First GREEN Bank, a community bank headquartered in Orlando, Florida from 2016 until its sale in 2018. He was also President, CEO, and an organizing director of Broward Bank of Commerce, a new bank chartered in Florida on January 12, 2009. He has held senior roles at Bank of Florida, City National Bank and Nations Bank throughout a 30-year banking career entirely in S. Florida.  He lives in Ft Lauderdale with his fiancé Denice Hayes, is a US Army Veteran and father of 4.

Sheldon manages the strategic direction and profitability of the bank. Sheldon is a widely recognized community leader in South Florida and the former President and CEO of the Southeast Region for the Northern Trust Company, where he was responsible for investment management, trust and estate planning, private and business banking, and financial consulting in Florida and Georgia. Sheldon sits on the Board of Trustees of Baptist Health South Florida, and the Board of Directors of United Way of Miami Dade County, U.S. Stem Cell, Inc., Miami Dade College Foundation, the New World Symphony, The Miami Foundation, and the Beacon Council. He also serves on the Board of Trustees at Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart and is a member of the Orange Bowl Committee.

Mark Anthony Crisp, President & CEO,

Before being named as CEO at Helm Bank USA, Mark Crisp worked in the petroleum, finance, and insurance sectors in Latin America. Since his arrival at Helm Bank USA in 2018, Mark has focused on working with his team to modernize the bank’s technology, simplify processes and provide better service to clients. Mark holds an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in History from Texas A&M University and speaks English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Veronica Flores, President & COO,

Veronica is a Board Member and has been a key member of the Executive team at First National Bank of South Miami since her arrival in 1999. As President, she is responsible for the daily management of the Bank, with a primary focus on client and community relations. She chairs Loan Committee and serves on all bank committees, including: Trust, Compliance, IT Steering, Cyber Security & ALCO.

Veronica’s commitment and involvement in the community has been demonstrated in a wide variety of areas. She was named as one of the Top 100 Power Players in Finance by South Florida Business Journal each year since 2014. She has also been selected as Power Leader in South Florida by SFBJ each year since 2018. Most recently she was selected as a board member for The Miami-Dade Beacon Council. She serves on the board of the Florida Bankers Association Government Relations; She has been actively involved with the FBA for more than a decade. She is past Board Member of Commercial Industrial Association of South Florida and University of Miami Citizens Board. She was a board member for ten years and is a past Chair for Chamber South. Ms. Flores started her career as a banker in 1980. She has worked in nearly all areas of banking. Her vast experience has served FNBSM well in leading the strategic initiatives of First National Bank of South Miami since 1999.
