(Miami, FL)- On April 11, 2018, South Florida Banking Institute hosted their annual networking event of the year at the American Airlines Arena. Teams playing were the Toronto Raptor versus Miami Heat.
The event began with a cocktail hour at the 6th gate, overlooking Miami’s views of downtown and bayside, its breezy tropical palms, and clear ocean water. With Mexican food on the menu and an open bar, fellow attendees enjoyed spending time together, indulging in conversation and getting ready for the game. Burnie, the NBA Miami Heat Mascot, made his rounds throughout the event, blowing kisses and taking photos with SFBI members.
Following cocktail hour, attendees made their way to Dewar’s Clubhouse, the next stop of the night. As the game began, some members spent time in the clubhouse for a couple more drinks, while others excitingly headed towards their seats.
In conclusion, The Heat defeated the Toronto Raptors during overtime with 116 points versus The Raptors at 109. Miami Heat will head out to Philadelphia to face the 76ers in Round 1 of the Playoffs. After starting off on the road, Miami will come back to the AmericanAirlines Arena for Games 3 and 4. South Florida Banking Institute thanks all the members who have participated and enjoyed this special night.
