This wrap-up and informational event brought forth some insightful speakers to the final installation of the year for

SFBI. Thanks to sponsors Holland & Knight, and Select Source this Annual BOD Installation was a success.

Andres A. Fernandez, Shareholder of Holland & Knight moderated the BSA/AML Regulator panel.

Panelists include: Rick MacNamara of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta (Miami Branch), Dulce Jerez BMA/AML

Specialist of the Office of the Controller of the Currency, Lera Bradford Financial Examiner Analyst Supervisor of the

Florida Office of Financial Regulation, and Tim Maykut of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).

Some highlights of the night were discussions involving the current issues of banks. Tim Maykut of the FDIC made it

imperative how important it is to communicate with your regulators to best prepare for examination reviews. He also

discussed the importance of making sure that bank programs have continuity regardless of staff changes. Other

topics of discussion involved tips on how to get to know your customers needs and expectations, Panama Papers

and the investigation throughout, as well as expanding markets in the U.S. and their needs to be fulfilled by banks.
